Will there be a Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor?
As of now, ABC has unfortunately not renewed the hit TV series for a second season. But don’t lose hope! There is still a possibility that The Golden Bachelor will return, or better yet, maybe we’ll get a Golden Bachelorette (fingers crossed!)

Gerry Turner, a retired restaurateur, is looking for his next soul mate. Originally married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years, his wife Toni Turner unexpectedly passed away in 2017. Turner was left with a void in his life but is now ready to spend it with a partner again. “What I look for at the age of 70 is different from what I looked for in high school and college. I believe I’ll find my person — the new person that will make me whole again. And I think we’ll knit a wonderful relationship. But I don’t think it’ll look like the relationship I had with Toni. And I don’t think it would be right to do it that way,” he was quoted saying in a recent Golden Bachelor promo video.
What is The Golden Bachelor?
The Golden Bachelor is a spinoff of “The Bachelor” reality television competition show, where a young man dates a house full of women in hopes of finding his soul mate. At the end of the show, he is expected to choose one woman and propose to her. The Golden Bachelor, however, offers one senior man in his 70s a second chance at love after losing his life partner in 2017. He, too, will date a house full of senior women in the hope of finding one to spend the rest of his life with. Each week, he will award roses to the women he wants to keep around, and potentially end up marrying.
