Midcentury modern enthusiasts can be part of a special experience: On May 13, supporters of Restore Oregon Modernism will tour dwellings with an open-to-the-sky atrium built by Robert Rummer in the Bohmann Park neighborhood southwest of Portland.

“Rummers,” as the houses modeled after developer Joseph Eichler’s in California are called in Oregon, have walls of glass that rise to vaulted ceilings and frame the outdoors.
