Why do people in Portland insist on forcing others to do or not do what they want? (“Readers respond: Government can tackle leaf blowers,” Dec. 3). It’s obvious to me that the people advocating for bans on gas powered lawn tools don’t have to mow a big lawn, or hedge their yard, or trim their trees or pick up their own leaves. There is no doubt that gas-powered tools are significantly better at the job than electric tools, despite what ideological zealots in council meetings and the media tell you. Just leave me alone.
