I was disappointed to read that the city of Brookings does not consider feeding those who would otherwise go hungry an example of religious expression, (“Justice Department sides with church,” Nov. 23). Those of us who take seriously Matthew 25:31-46, and apparently that includes the people of St. Timothy Episcopal Church, understand that such service is at the core of who we are as people of faith. And we express our faith more in action than in words.
