Nik Streng is the high school sports coordinator for The Oregonian/OregonLive. On top of covering games/events himself, Nik is in charge of overseeing a network of freelancers all over the state who help with high school sports coverage for The Oregonian/OregonLive. Nik grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and came to Oregon to attend Pacific University, where he was a four-year varsity wrestler and got his bachelors degree in creative writing in 2013. He got a professional master's degree in journalism from the University of Oregon in 2015 before working at the Argus Observer in Ontario, Oregon for five years.
