Oregon Ducks fans ready to ‘run through a wall’ for Dan Lanning after introductory press conference

It hasn’t even been a week and new Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning has fans excited for what the future may hold.

Lanning, the former Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator, was formally introduced as the 35th head coach in school history at a press conference Monday afternoon. The 35-year-old coach touched on why he’s ready to be a first-time head coach, his brother talking to Ducks fan via Twitter Spaces Friday night, and a plethora of other topics. All of them got Ducks fans excited for what could be ahead next year.

Although introductory press conferences don’t really mean much, they’re a good way for new coaches to set the tone and instill energy into the fan bases they’re inheriting.

That was no different for Lanning on Monday in Eugene. The reviews were pretty strong from social media that he knocked that first stage out of the park.
