Multnomah County deputies seized more than 58,000 fentanyl pills and 16 pounds of fentanyl powder in Portland’s Goose Hollow neighborhood earlier this week in what the sheriff’s office called its largest ever fentanyl bust.

Deputies involved in a monthslong investigation took a man into custody Tuesday near Southwest 20th Avenue and Main Street and discovered the fentanyl, as well as scales, two pill presses, a handgun and $5,000 in cash while executing search warrants on his car and apartment, the sheriff’s office said Friday.
