Former Oregon receiver Josh Delgado arrested on suspicion of DUII, reckless driving, hit and run

Former Oregon receiver Josh Delgado was arrested early Thursday morning in Eugene on suspicion of DUII, reckless driving, and hit and run.

Delgado, 23, was allegedly intoxicated and crashed into a pillar at the entrance to the parking garage for apartments at 13th and Olive in Eugene at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to Eugene police.

The garage’s security team reported the driver of a BMW hit the pillar, backed up and continued to drive into the parking garage. Security staff followed him as he drove up the garage’s levels, struggled to navigate turns and crashed into several walls before attempting to park, police said, and Delgado, who was identified as the driver, went to a friend’s apartment to sleep.

Police said they established probable cause for DUII, reckless driving, and hit and run, and attempted to make contact with Delgado, who was eventually woken up by friends and transported to Lane County jail on those charges.

KEZI first reported the arrest of Delgado, who has since been released on bond.
