The Florida State Seminoles finished a perfect regular season with an Atlantic Coast Conference championship after defeating Louisville 16-6 in the ACC championship game on Saturday.
Unfortunately for the Seminoles, they were snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee, becoming the first unbeaten Power Five conference champion to be excluded from the four-team field. The committee opted to select Michigan, Washington, Texas and Alabama.
Not surprising, there was outrage on the Florida State campus.
Florida State coach Mike Norvell blasted the CFP committee, saying he was “disgusted” and “infuriated” by the decision. Florida State president Richard McCollough called the decision “shocking” and shows the “system is broken.”
