Central Catholic junior shooting guard Isaac Carr will be staying in state to play college basketball. On Thursday afternoon, Carr posted on his social media accounts that he is committing to play for the Oregon Ducks.
Carr is ranked as a three-star guard and the No. 1 recruit in the state by 247Sports.
Carr was an all-state honorable mention as a sophomore with the Rams. One of his biggest games of the 2022-23 season came in the state quarterfinals, where Central Catholic narrowly lost to No. 1 seed West Linn. In the game, Carr had 16 points while making four of five three-pointers. The Rams led the Lions 23-21 at halftime with Carr’s shooting helping the team a lot.
The Ducks have been on a roll picking up in-state recruits of late. The team currently has freshmen Mookie Cook (Jefferson) and Jackson Shelstad (West Linn), as well as junior Nate Bittle (Crater) and senior Gabe Reichle (Wilsonville).
The 2024 senior class in Oregon includes other high-profile commitments. Tualatin’s Jaden Steppe (the No. 2 recruit in the state) announced that he will be playing at Colorado State. Roosevelt’s Terrence Hill will be going to play at Utah State.
